The spokesman for the Libyan Army under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Mohammed Gununu said Tuesday that their air defenses had shot down a UAE-operated (Wing Loong – Chinese-made) drone in eastern Misrata before it carried out the intended airstrikes.
Gununu added in a presser that the indiscriminate shelling of Khalifa Haftar’s militias on Al-Hadba in Tripoli had killed three children and injured others.
The spokesman added that the GNA forces were reinforcing their military capabilities on Sirte-Jufra frontline and the forces were all ready to carry out orders and missions set by the operations room.
Gununu also said that the Libyan Army forces are keen on defeating the aggressors and the “invading gangs” as well as the mercenaries in order to save the lives of civilians.
