The spokesman for the Libyan Army under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Mohammed Gununu has described Khalifa Haftar and his militias as oathbreakers after they have carried out attacks on Abu Grein town with foreign aircraft cover.
Gununu told reporters on Sunday that the GNA forces had destroyed a number of military vehicles and seized Egyptian military equipment and ammunition.
He also said that the GNA forces had detained several militia fighters including mercenaries as the rest ran away leaving behind the bodies of their fellow fighters burning inside the military vehicles.
Gununu also called on the civilians in the area from Abu Grein to Sirte and Al-Jufra to stay away from the positions of Haftar’s militias and mercenaries so that they won’t be taken as human shields.
