Libyan Attorney General initiates probe into handover of Abu Agila Masud to the US

The Libyan Attorney General, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, has confirmed to Libya Alahrar TV the start of investigation into the handover of the Libyan national Abu Agila Masud to the United States (US) after a complaint was filed at his office on Tuesday.

The Libyan Attorney General said the Libyan judicial authorities and public prosecutors didn’t know anything about the handover of Masud to the US, adding that his office was working on unveiling the details of the incident.

Meanwhile, Abu Agila Masud appeared before a federal court in Washington, DC, on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in the Lockerbie case, according to a report by Reuters, which added that he refused to speak before the American Magistrate Judge, Robin Meriweather, before meeting with his lawyer.
