Libyan Futsal Federation Chief detained over negligence

The Libyan Attorney General, Al-Siddiq Al-Soor, has ordered the detention of the Chief of the Libyan Futsal Federation, Hussein Twailib, after investigation into the death of the player, Ayman Al-Nagrish and the infection of other players with malaria in their stay in Nigeria, where they went for a match last week.

Al-Soor told Libyan Alahrar that the Chief of the Futsal Federation has been found guilty of negligence as he didn’t order precautious measures to protect the players before travelling to Nigeria.

The Libyan Futsal team traveled to Rome on Tuesday for medical treatment after contracting malaria in Nigeria.

Ayman Al-Nagrish died of malaria after playing at the African Futsal Cup in Nigeria.
