Libyan GNA warplanes strike Haftar militias’ ammo and fighters in Al-Watiya airbase

The media office of Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) said Libyan Air Force warplanes had targeted Al-Watiya airbase with two airstrikes Sunday evening, hitting military vehicles and positions as well as an ammunition depot for Khalifa Haftar’s forces.

The media office of Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation said the Air Force also targeted and destroyed five military vehicles for Haftar’s militias.

The spokesman for the Libyan Army, Mohammed Gununu, indicated Sunday that airstrikes by the Libyan Air Force betwen Shewairif and Bani Walid aimed to cut off supply lines of Haftar’s forces.

In a press briefing Sunday, Gununu said that their airstrikes had destroyed three vehicles on Nassma-Tininay road and killed five Janjaweed mercenaries as a military vehicle loaded with Janjaweed mercenaries en route to south Tripoli was also targeted near Garyat area.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Sirte-Jufra operations room Abdelhadi Drah said a number of fighters from Haftar’s forces had been killed near Al-Wishka after Libyan Army’s artillery shelling targeted their positions Sunday dawn.
