The spokesman for the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) Abdullah Blehiq has announced that the HoR passed the parliamentary elections law, thus finishing all the needed legislations for the general elections scheduled for December 24.
Blehiq told Libya Alahrar TV that the HoR had adopted Law No.10 of 2014 and voted on its articles, then it sent it to the legislation committee to revise it and send it to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC).
He also reiterated that the December 24 elections’ legislations are now in place and it is up to the HNEC and the government to go on with the rest of the process to hold elections on time as per the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum’s roadmap.
