Libyan PM Deputy: Unity Government isn’t abiding by LPDF roadmap

The Libyan Vice Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Gotrani, has issued a statement on behalf ministers and deputy ministers as well as mayors in Barqa (Cyrenaica) – east Libya – criticizing the Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah.

Al-Gotrani said in his statement on Sunday that the Prime Minister didn’t abide by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum’s roadmap, adding that there had been decisions that were made in violation of the authority of some ministers.

He also said that the Prime Minister didn’t commit to specifying the authorities of deputy ministers, thus increasing reliance on centralism.

“We decry the inflexibility of the Prime Minister by keeping for himself the post of Defense Minister and failing to take measures to appoint one. We urge the Prime Minister to take measures to resolve these issues.” Al-Gotrani said.

He also called on the Prime Minister to instruct relevant authorities to open bank clearing and to reactivate the institutions suspended in Cyrenaica.
