Libyan PM: There’s no solution but parliamentary and presidential elections

The Libyan Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (GNU), Abdul-Hmaid Dbeibah, has said that there is no way for a solution in Libya except for going to “real parliamentary and presidential elections”.

In a speech on Tuesday during a greeting organized by the Misrata Municipal Council, in the presence of a number of ministers, House of Representatives’ members, politicians and activists from the city, Dbeibah said that parliamentary elections are easy and their laws do exist.

He stressed that the doors and roads have been closed to those who want to extend their own power mandates and that Libya will reach the elections no matter what.

Dbeibah explained that the GNU stood with the poor and low-income citizens, and that the GNU would continue to support the poor, as well as the Marriage Support Fund, indicating that the pay raise will be paid to retired people after Eid Feast.

He also highlighted the improvement of electricity in the past period compared to previous years, calling for patriotism against the projects of partition and wars. He also called for supporting the holding of elections, so that people choose their leaders.
