Libyan PM to visit New York and meet UN SG soon

The Italian news agency, NOVA, has said that the Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah will soon visit New York and meet with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.

NOVA reported its sources as saying that Dbeibah’s visit to New York had been given the green light and he would aim to rally Guterres’s support around his “Return of Trust to the People” initiative to lead the country to parliamentary elections next June.

It’s noteworthy that Dbeibah visited New York in July of 2021 and attended a session of the Security Council on Libya.
