Libya’s Coronavirus cases rise to 61 with two deaths, 18 recoveries

The Libyan National Center for Disease Control said Friday that it had recorded a new COVID-19 case to bring the total number to 61 across the country.

The center added that its Reference Laboratory in Tripoli had run 82 tests and only one of them tested positive, saying the new case was in contact with a COVID-19 patient.

On Thursday, the National Center for Disease Control registered the second death of Coronavirus in Libya, saying at the same time that recovered patients amounted to 18.

Meanwhile, the Government of National Accord extended curfew and lockdown procedures ten more days starting next Tuesday in an attempt to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
