Libya’s GNA forces repel advance attempt by Haftar’s forces on two southern Tripoli frontlines

The field commander at Al-Sawani frontline Abdullah Sabaqa has confirmed that the forces under the Government of National Accord’s (GNA) command have foiled an attempt by Khalifa Haftar’s forces to advance on Al-Khallatat and Airport Road in Tripoli.

Sabaqa told Libya Al-Ahrar TV on Saturday that most frontlines had been seeing uneasy calm after the repelling of Haftar forces’ attempt on Saturday dawn.

“Haftar’s forces also carried Saturday morning several strikes on civilian residential areas in Al-Sawani in southern Tripoli on Saturday morning. Only material damage was caused.” The field commander added.
