The Libyan High Council of State (HCS) has condemned the violation of ceasefire by Khalifa Haftar’s militias by attacking Sabha military zone headquarters in Ubari amid the silence of the UNSMIL.
The HCS decried in a statement the attack by Haftar’s militias on Tindi Camp in Ubari, where the Sabha military zone forces of the Government of National Accord are positioned.
The council also said that those behind the violation of the ceasefire must be held accountable, expressing surprise at the silence of the UNSMIL, which more than once threatened to hold the violators accountable for any obstruction.
The HCS remarked that the violation of Haftar’s militias came to implement foreign agenda that is working to obstruct any peaceful solutions to the conflict in Libya.
“This attack shows that Haftar isn’t serious about the commitment to any agreement or dialogue.” The HCS said, urging the GNA to provide more support to the south.
