Libya’s HNEC denies to Alahrar TV “force majeure statement”

The member of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Abdelhakim Belkhair, has told Libya Alahrar TV that the statement about force majeure on the HNEC’s website was false, denying declaring the procedure as a result of the use of military power by a certain presidential candidate.

The member of the HNEC, Abu Bakr Marada, said the website of the HNEC could have been hacked, confirming that the statement was fabricated.

The website of the HNEC published a statement condemning the use of military force by a presidential candidate who has a dual citizenship, adding that there are presidential candidates who submitted forged university degrees.
