Libya’s HoR sacks Central Bank’s Deputy Governor Al-Hibri

The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) has voted to sack the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) Ali Al-Hibri, over issues related to Derna and Benghazi rebuilding committees.

The HoR said in a statement that the issues were financial violations signed by Al-Hibri, committing forgery of documents, rejecting to financially support the HoR-designated government of Fathi Bashagha and illegal earnings.

The CBL in Benghazi said in a statement, signed by the board of directors, calling on the Presidency of the HoR to clarify the decision to sack Al-Hibri and denouncing the leaking of the news.
