The Prime Minister-elect, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, has arrived in Tobruk in eastern Libya and discussed with the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, the latest developments on the political level and the formation of the Government of National Unity, in addition to the role of the HoR in endorsing the government.
The media advisor to the HoR Speaker, Fathi Al-Maryemi, told Libya Alahrar TV that Dbeibah and Saleh had discussed cooperation among state institutions and the need to hold elections on time; on December 24.
They also reviewed efforts to unite all Libyan state institutions and provide Libyans with the necessary services to end the deteriorating living conditions in different parts of the country.
Dbeibah also met in Tobruk with a number of HoR members from all electoral circles. They discussed issues and obstacles, and the best way to resolve them so that people can lead a normal life.
He also met with elders, dignitaries and civil society representatives from Tobruk, as he reiterated to all that he would present his cabinet (of patriotic and qualified personalities) in few days, hoping it would be given confidence by the HoR to start work in the span of the few months remaining till December 24.
