Libya’s new executive authority decries Interior Minister’s incident

The new executive authority: Presidential Council members and Prime Minister, extended in a statement their regards to the Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha, after he made it safely, together with his security guards, from the incident of shootout in Janzour, Tripoli, offering condolences to the families of the casualties.

The new executive authority’s statement denounced the incident and called on judicial and police apparatuses to open an investigation and bring the ones behind it to justice.

It said there should be no place for such crimes in Libya after the election of the new executive authority, urging for hindering all foul acts that aim to get in the way of the stability and security in Libya.

“All parties should work together at this stage to reach the truth and bring to justice any outlaws.” The statement reads.

It also said the new executive authority will immediately start work on security and stability across the entire country once it is approved, so that all Libyans can begin the real work of building the state thay have always aspired for.
