Libya’s Parliament names Fathi Bashagha as new Prime Minister

The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) has voted unanimously for Fathi Bashagha, ex-Minister of Interior, to replace Abdul Hamid Dbeibha as Prime Minister.

This development tool place in an HoR session in Tobruk on Thursday, when HoR Speaker also carried a vote on the constitutional deceleration amendment and the MPs voted in favor.

No comment was made by neither Bashagha nor Dbeibah on the matter. Meanwhile, sources close to Bashagha said he would make a statement inside Mitiga Airport in Tripoli any time on Thursday.
