Libya’s Petroleum Facilities Guard protesters end strike in Tobruk

The Chairman of the Interim Council of Tobruk municipality, Faraj Abu Al-Khatabiya, confirmed that the strike of the Petroleum Facilities Guard in the city had ended after they agreed to give the authorities two weeks to pay them the delayed salaries of the last 13 months.

Abu Al-Khatabiya indicated that an oil vessel will be docking at the Hariga port Thursday to upload crude from the east-based oil port.

Tobruk-based Hariga battalion of the Petroleum Facilities Guard blockaded last Tuesday oil exports at Hariga port, preventing “Olympic Fighter” tanker from docking, in protest of the delay of salary payments for over a year.
