Libya’s Presidential Council condemns airstrikes on Misrata by foreign aircraft supporting Haftar

The Libyan Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA) has condemned foreign airstrikes backing up Khalifa Haftar that targeted Friday dawn Misrata city, causing several casualties among civilians.

In a statement, the Presidential Council considered expanding the aggression by Haftar’s forces to include Misrata was an indication that they are getting weaker and more desperate as they failed to advance on the ground, let alone the failure of the so-called decisive hour of “war criminal Haftar”.

The statement added that such terrorist attacks won’t affect the will of GNA forces in their efforts to defeat the attackers on frontlines and to terminate once and for all their delusions for returning Libya to the utilitarian rule.

Meanwhile, Misrata Medical Center received Thursday six civilian injuries due to the airstrikes by foreign aircraft supporting Haftar’s forces.

The Medical Center said two of the injured persons had been hospitalized, while one case needed an emergency surgery, adding that three others left after receiving the needed treatment as their injuries were mild.
