Libya’s revenue loss in blockaded oil has reached 8 billion dinars so far, CBL says

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has estimated the financial losses of the country due to the enforced shutdown of oil production and exports since last January to last July at about 8 billion dinars.

A statement by the CBL on Tuesday said the total of oil revenues in Libya since the start of 2020 had reached over 5 billion dinars.

The statement added that out of those 5 billion dinars, there are over 2.8 billion dinars worth of oil exports from December 2019.

According to the statement of the CBL, the total deficit of oil revenue and sovereign revenues in Libya had amounted to over 2.3 billion dinars.
