Menfi, British ambassador review efforts to hold elections

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has met with the UK ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, in Tripoli and reiterated keenness to hold elections, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Libya.

Menfi reiterated on Sunday his support for efforts aiming to reach consensual constitutional basis for a clear election process that answers to the aspirations of the Libyan people.

The British ambassador renewed her country’s continued support for the Presidential Council, which seeks to achieve stability through the success of the national reconciliation file, and the holding of elections as per a consensual constitutional basis whose results are satisfactory to all parties.
