Menfi: Libya’s unity government to be presented at HoR in few days

The newly elected Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has arrived in Tripoli on his first visit to the Libyan capital since he has been elected by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) in Geneva on February 05.

From Tripoli, Menfi said the Government of National Unity will be ready in few days, and then it will be presented to the House of Representatives (HoR) for endorsement and confidence.

Menfi said that the tasks of the Presidential Council and the interim government, as per the LPDF’s roadmap, shall be resepcted for the greater good of Libya and the interests of all Libyans.

The Head of the Presidential Council also reiterated that the interim government shall work on unifying state institutions in order to provide better services for Libyans across the country.

In the meantime, the newly elected Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, said he was ready to cooperate with all state institutions in Libya in order to preserve national sovereignty and keep out negative foreign intervention.

In his breifing at the High Council of State (HCS) Tuesday, Dbeibah said the new interim government ( Government of National Unity) would work on establishing consultations with the HCS and House of Representatives as well as the Presidential Council and 5+5 Joint Military Commission so that all Libyans can regain security and feel safe.
