Missing bodies from 2011 identified in Tarhouna

The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons has announced the successful identification of four missing individuals from 2011 and the Tarhouna mass graves’ incident.

The Authority has managed to identify the persons through DNA matching with samples provided by families of the victims: Mohammed Ramadan Balied, Solaiman and Akram Hassouna, who went missing in 2011 – during the February Revolution against the Gaddafi regime.

The Authority also identified two other persons as victims buried in the Tarhouna mass graves. It confirmed that reports would go to the Attorney General’s Office after finishing legal procedures.
