French news website, Mondafrique, has revealed in a report that a top Turkish security official has visited Torbuk, in eastern Libya, to meet with the House of Representatives’ Speaker Aqila Saleh.
Mondafrique didn’t name the top Turkish security official nor when the visit took place, claiming that the Libyan tribal components were paving the way for opening communication channels among all stakeholders in the Libyan crisis.
The report also said that the alliance between Saleh and Khalifa Haftar was an example of the power of tribes in the Libyan society, adding that the meeting between Saleh and Turkish security representatives was a very strong sign of an unexpected turn of events.
