NOC discusses cooperation with Egypt to implement petroleum projects

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Ben Qaddara, discussed in a bilateral meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek Al-Mulla, opportunities for Egyptian petroleum companies to contribute to the implementation of petroleum projects in Libya.

This came on the sidelines of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition EGYPES2024, in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

Al-Mulla confirmed the readiness of the Egyptian petroleum sector, through its specialized companies, to begin work and cooperate with the Libyan side in implementing projects inside Libya.

Al-Mulla also stressed the readiness of specialized training centers in the petroleum sector to train Libyans in light of the Libyan side’s request for cooperation in this regard.

For his part, Ben Qaddara stressed the existence of many opportunities and areas of cooperation with Egypt in implementing oil projects inside Libya.

Ben Qaddara also expressed a desire to discuss opportunities to use the services of Egyptian companies in the field of drilling oil and gas wells where production work is being intensified and new areas for research and exploration are being introduced.
