The US Ambassador, Richard Norland, said he spoke with House of Representatives Speaker, Agilah Saleh, Wednesday to emphasize the importance that the HoR’s session to give a vote of confidence on the new executive authority as soon as possible.
The United States embassy added that it recognizes that the vote of confidence of the House of Representatives (HoR) is an important step toward the holding of elections in December of this year.
The US embassy also said on Twitter that the HoR Speaker, Aqila Saleh, said he shared the view that the HoR should assume its responsibility in this regard noting that the government should respect the outcomes of the Cairo Declaration.
