The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri, has told Libya Al-Ahrar TV in an exclusive interview that the Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah is going to fight hard to obstruct any steps that can lead Libyans to holding elections.
Al-Mishri added on Sunday that Dbeibah was willing to spend billions to obstruct elections and remain in power, calling on Dbeibah to engage in a public debate on air with him. He also said that the debate’s subjects would be off limits.
The Head of the HCS reiterated that if elections couldn’t be held due to the presence of two governments – Dbeibah’s and Fathi Bashagha’s – a new authority would be formed to take Libya to elections.
