The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, discussed in Al-Qubba town on Saturday with the Deputy Head of Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, the political developments in Libya, including holding elections as well as continuing consultations between the HoR and the PC.
Al-Lafi said the meeting was fruitful and reiterated the support of the PC to holding elections via a clear roadmap that is based on constitutional and legal framework, in addition to working on national reconciliation efforts led by the PC.
He also reiterated that the PC’s Head, Mohammed Menfi, had stressed support for the Speaker of the HoR Aqila Saleh to issue laws that help bring Libyans together and achieve stability.
