Putin, Erdogan discuss situation in Libya on the phone

The presidents of Russia and Turkey; Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed the situation in Libya among other issues in the region, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.

The statement said the presidents of Russia and Turkey “touched upon the Libyan issue, including prospects for further normalization of the situation and for stepping up intra-Libyan reconciliation talks.” 

Putin and Erdogan agreed, according to Sputnik, to continue coordination on the Libyan situation through the two countries’ defense and foreign ministries as well as intelligence agencies.
