Reopening Sirte road contingent on departure of foreign mercenaries, military official says

The spokesman for the Libyan Sirte-Jufra operations room Brigadier General Abdelhadi Drah said the reopening of Sirte road in central Libya is very much contingent on the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign fighters from the region.

Drah said, according to the media office of Burkan Al-Ghadab, Sirte -Misrata road’s reopening is tied to the withdrawal of all foreign mercenaries and the clearance of mines as well as the return of Khalifa Haftar’s militias to their previous positions.

Drah indicated that the Sirte-Jufra operations room is ready to implement any agreement that helps end the suffering of the Libyan people and end bloodshed, saying they are with the ceasefire.

In the meantime, the Burkan Al-Ghadab operations room said it had depicted Janjaweed mercenaries loyal to warlord Khalifa Haftar moving around with their weapons in Houn town.
