Russia and China have declared their support for the sovereignty of Syria and Libya, and their contribution to moving settlement processes forward
The joint statement signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping on strengthening partnership relations stated that Russia and China support the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria and Libya.
The statement, which came on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, also emphasized their contribution to advancing the political settlement processes, which is led and implemented by the citizens of Libya and Syria themselves, according to the statement.
On Wednesday evening, Putin began a two-day state visit to China, his first since his re-election as president.
