Shakshak demands halting dispatch of 171 employees abroad

The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, demanded halting the resolution to delegate 171 foreign affairs employees to the Libyan diplomatic missions abroad.

Shakshak’s demand was included in a message to the foreign affairs minister in the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Siala, by Resolution No. (640) of 2020 issued by the ministry, which ordered the dispatch of (171) employees to work in the Libyan embassies, missions, and consulates.

The message demanded freezing the resolution and providing the bureau with the following: the ministry’s plan for the current year, vacant positions, staff of the Libyan missions and consulates abroad, fellowship, and competency of those mentioned in the decision for the desired jobs, in addition to their essential data, the availability of the approved financial allocations and a copy of the delegation affairs committee’s transcript.
