Sporadic clashes in south Tripoli as GNA forces destroy ammo depot for Haftar’s militias

The Field Commander on Al-Ramla frontline in southern Tripoli, Al-Taher bin Ghariba said sporadic clashes erupted Friday between Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation forces under the command of the Government of National Accord and Khalifa Haftar’s militias on Ain Zara, Mashroa, and Matabbat St. ftontlines.

In the meantime, the commander of Sirte-Jufra operations room Ibrahim Baytalmal said calm descended on the frontline with sporadic exchanges of fire every now and then.

While the spokesman for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said GNA forces had destroyed an ammunition depot for Haftar’s militias.

Gununu added on Saturday that GNA forces had targeted one of the positions of Haftar’s militias in Qasir Benghashir, southern Tripoli.

Gununu added that the operation was a response to Haftar militias’ repeated attacks and indiscriminate shelling on civilians in Tripoli.
