The Military Medical Apparatus declares state of emergency

The Libyan Military Medical Apparatus has officially announced a state of emergency amid the escalation of the continued fighting in Tripoli.

The Ali Omar Askar Hospital, also known as Sabia Hospital, in addition to Mitiga Military Hospital are the main hubs in which the military medical teams are operating under the state of emergency.

Other hospitals and medical centers have also been contracted to provide support in this regard, notably those which are located close to the areas where clashes between the quarreling factions continue. Furthermore, arrangements for opening an air bridge to fly out urgent cases for treatment abroad have been affirmed.

Moreover, the Medical Emergency and Support Center has made a public appeal for blood donations as the number of casualties, both civilian and military, in hospitals and medical centers is on the rise.

The spokesman for the Medical Emergency and Support Center Malik Marsit had earlier assured Libya Alahrar that more than 100 families have been evacuated in the southern suburbs of Tripoli.

Mediation efforts continue in order to stop the fighting in Tripoli, which broke out following the detention of the 444 Brigade commander Mahmoud Hamza by the Special Deterrence Force SDF (Radaa).
