The Ocean Viking ship operating in the Mediterranean has reported the rescue of 64 irregular migrants, including 12 minors.
The ship added that it recovered a body and transferred it to an Italian navy during a separate operation off the Libyan coast.
It was explained that the migrants were spotted on the first boat by a surveillance plane, while the second boat was found by a ship that was near the area.
This incident comes in the wake of the discovery of 11 bodies in the same area by the “Geo Barents” ship, affiliated with Doctors Without Borders.
