The Times says Bashagha article is credible, Independent Arabia reports

The Times newspaper confirmed the authenticity of the article it had published as written by the Libyan Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha.

The Times said, through its spokesperson in an exclusive statement to “The Independent Arabia” newspaper, that it adheres to what it has published regarding the article signed on behalf of Bashagha, stressing that Bashagha’s team confirmed to the paper the authenticity of the article.

The British newspaper published an article attributed to Bashagha under the title “Libya wants to stand with Britain against Russian aggression”.

In his article, Bashagha stressed that his government is ready to work with Britain if it wants a partner to take measures against Russia, indicating that his government is the appropriate partner to the UK.

Bashagha later said he had nothing to do with the article published by the British newspaper, calling on The Times to authenticate articles and avoid being involved in publishing fake news.
