Three civilians killed, five injured in Haftar militias’ barbaric attack in Tripoli

Abu Salim Hospital in Tripoli has received three bodies of civilians killed in rocket attacks by Khalifa Haftar’s terrorist militias on Bab bin Ghashir in Tripoli, Libya Alahrar TV correspondent has reported.

The correspondent added Saturday afternoon that five other people had been wounded in the shelling and were lodged at Abu Salim Hospital for treatment.

He explained that the shelling of Haftar’s terrorist militias hit Al-Emarat (Buildings) neighborhood in Bab bin Ghashir, destroying a number of properties in addition to the casualties.

Haftar’s terrorist militias carried out Saturday morning rocket attacks on the only operational airport in Libya’s capital, Tripoli, Mitiga Airport, causing massive damages to the infrastructure and panic among workers and nearby residents.

Haftar’s strikes on Mitiga Airport, according to the Libya Alahrar TV correspondent, damaged two Airbus (320 – 330) at the runway with shattered shrapnel.

The correspondent added that the strike on Saturday morning hit also a jet fuel depot, setting it ablaze and damaged the passengers’ lounge as well.

The shelling sent waves of panic and intimidation to the nearby residents and caused huge material damage, the correspondent added.

Haftar terrorist militias’ strikes hit the Airbus 320 plane as it was preparing to take off for a repatriation flight to Spain to bring the Libyans stranded in there amid Coronavirus outbreak, according to the correspondent.
