The Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR) has denounced Khalifa Haftar’s airstrikes on Tajoura and reiterated the needed to hold the perpetrators accountable.
In a statement on Wednesday, the HoR commended the silence of the international community toward the systematic crimes happening in Libya, blaming it for the casualties and damages caused by Haftar’s offensive on Tripoli.
It also renewed the call on the Government of National Accord (GNA) to take the needed measures to repel Haftar’s aggression and protect the Libyan people.
In the meantime, four civilians were killed and 15 others were wounded in an airstrike by Haftar’s warplanes on Baer Al-Usta Milad in Tajoura; eastern Tripoli, the spokesman for the Health Minister Fawzi Awnis confirmed to Libya Al-Ahrar TV on Wednesday.
Over the last days, civilians and fighters have been killed by drone strikes by Haftar’s forces’ UAE backers, according to the state official statements and Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation’s media office. The drone strikes targeted Misrata, Msallata, Zliten and Sirte.
