Tripoli-based HoR ready to convene govt. approval session in any city

The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) said it was ready to hold a session to unite the Tripoli and Tobruk parliaments in any Libyan city that harbors no foreign forces or mercenaries, adding that the session should be attended by local and international monitors.

The HoR said in a statement on Wednesday that its members are committed to dealing with the confidence-granting session for the Government of National Unity positively, adding that they could resort to conducting an online session if the in-person attendance couldn’t convene on time.

“We urge the Security Council to publish the panel of experts’ report about bribery allegations against Libyan Political Dialogue Forum members, calling on the Prime Minister-elect Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah to commit his cabinet selection to qualifications and geopolitical area.” The statement reads.

The HoR hoped the LPDF outcomes would help unite state institutions and achieve national reconciliation as well as social justice, including the return of IDPs, in addition to bringing to justice those responsible for mass graves and other crimes.
