Tunisia, Egypt vow support for Libya’s Unity Government

Tunisia’s President Kais Saied and the Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed in Cairo the latest developments in Libya and the importance of activating the role of the Arab states to achieve stability in the country.

In a joint press conference, Saied and Al-Sisi reiterated the need to end foreign intervention in Libya and remove all foreign forces and mercenaries from the country so it can regain its sovereignty and stability.

Saied and Al-Sisi also voiced readiness to support Libya’s Government of National Unity so it can work in this interim period and lead the country to general elections next December.
