Turkey backs Libya’s December 24 vote, insists on clear roadmap if delayed

Turkish Presidential Spokesperson, Ibrahim Kalın, told Anadolu Agency, that Turkey supports the polls going ahead as planned; however, he maintained that efforts to bring rivals together and encourage political dialogue should continue, regardless of the approaching December 24 elections.

Kalın said Turkey would remain a staunch supporter of the Libyan people and the legitimate government, irrespective of the election results, adding that Turkey stresses the need for making transparent the reasons of election delay, if it happened.
