Flights from Istanbul to Libya’s of Benghazi resumed on Tuesday after a hiatus that lasted 10 years, according to the Turkish transport and infrastructure minister, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, who told Anadolu News Agency that the airliner would be flying three times a week to Benghazi.
The first Turkish Airlines’ flight arrived in Benghazi with the CEO of the airliner and a high-ranking delegation onboard, including the Turkish ambassador to Libya.
Uraloglu said Turkish Airlines started flights to Benghazi in May 2009 and operated regularly until suspension in January 2015.
