The Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Army, Metin Gürak, delivered a message from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Head of the Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi on Sunday, according to Menfi’s Media Office.
Menfi received Gürak at the Presidential Council’s headquarters in Tripoli on Sunday with his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Chief of General Staff, Mohammed Al-Haddad.
Menfi’s Media Office said that the Turkish Chief of Staff had conveyed a message from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the beginning of the meeting.
The message stressed the depth of bilateral relations and urged for strengthening and developing relations in various fields.
This is the first visit of the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Army to Libya since he took office in August 2023.
