The Turkish envoy to Libya Emrullah İşler has reaffirmed that Turkish troops will be used as a deterrence in Libya for the aggressors, saying any attacks on the troops to be sent to Libya would be tackled with strong and forceful responses.
İşler told reporters on Tuesday that Turkey is sending troops to help the legitimate government and to repel attacks by the aggression forces against Tripoli, adding that Turkey is willing to use all land, marine and air weapons to end the war in Libya.
He also denied sending any Syrian fighters to Libya, explaining that Turkey is capable of ending the fighting alone in cooperation with the Libyan Army forces under the GNA command.
İşler added that the Turkish troops to be deployed in Libya will train and develop security and military cadres of the GNA as per the MoU signed by the two countries.
