Bodies of two people were found thrown on the streets in Benghazi, eastern Libya, on Wednesday, according to local sources speaking to Libya Alahrar TV.
The sources added that one of the bodies was identified as for the 22-year-old Al-Sharif Belriween, who has been missing since last December. His body, which bore marks of torture, was found at the beachside in Garyounis.
The second body was found on Al-Zait Street in Benghazi with marks of gunshots in different areas of the body. The sources added that the two bodies had been sent to Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi for forensics.
In the meantime, seven bodies have been retrieved from the streets in Benghazi so far in January, the last of which was an unidentified body with marks of gunshots to the head. The body was found on the beach in Garyounis last Tuesday.
