Two Libyan doctors, Younis Al-Tinaz and Al-Sadiq Al-Housh, died in the UK of Coronavirus after treating patients with COVID-19.
The spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry Mohammed Al-Giblawi said Dr. Al-Tinaz died in a London hospital, adding that the Libyan embassy contacted his family to offer any assistance they might require.
Al-Giblawi said that Al-Tinaz was a prominent health practitioner in North London – Haringey – and was an adviser to the director of Islamic Culture Center in London.
Al-Giblawi also said that another doctor, Al-Sadiq Al-Housh, died in the UK because of his job treating COVID-19 patients.
Dr. Al-Housh was working in a hospital in North Wales and his farewell by his colleagues was very moving as they all stood outside hospital and applauded his body as it got carried away in a car.
