Ukrainian sources reveal that Russia transferred military equipment from Syria to eastern Libya

The Ukrainian website ‘Express Defense’ confirmed that Russia has transferred military equipment from the Russian naval base in Tartus, Syria, to the port of Tobruk.

The website quoted intelligence authorities stating that the transfer operations continued from the fourth to the eighth of April, and the military equipment was transferred by two ships belonging to the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy that entered the Mediterranean two weeks ago.

The website said that the nature of Russian supplies to Libya are uncertain, and cannot be reliably distinguished from satellite images that show equipment being loaded onto Russian ships in Tartous, which may raise fears of new tension in the region.
