UN Advisor reviews Tarhouna probe with Libya’s Attorney General

The UN Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she had a fruitful meeting Wednesday with the Libyan Attorney General and Deputy President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour.

Williams added on her Twitter account that they had discussed a number of issues, including the Tarhouna investigations, the new campaign of arrests directed at civil society representatives, the appointment of new judges to the Supreme Court, and the Public Prosecution’s efforts to clear the National ID system.

“I encouraged the Attorney General to continue genuine efforts to restore rule of law and protect human rights.” Williams added.
