UNICEF has confirmed that Sudanese refugees in Kufra are facing critical challenges as their numbers are rising.
The organization added that the Sudanese refugees reside in more than 50 informal settlements on Kufra farms and various governmental and non-governmental facilities, and face difficulties related to health, shelter and sanitation.
UNICEF confirmed that it faces a funding gap of more than $4 million to support and expand the humanitarian response throughout Libya to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of about 40,000 Sudanese refugees.
