The United Nations Support Mission (UNSMIL) has welcomed the mediation exercised by Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah to ensure the unity and integrity of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The unhindered operation of the NOC remains a cornerstone to Libyan security and economy, UNSMIL added in a statement.
UNSMIL further welcomed the decision by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to integrate all employees of the parallel corporation with a view to ensuring its organizational unity.
“It remains of the utmost importance that the NOC operates as an impartial actor and one that works for the interests of the country as a whole.” UNSMIL added.
